# 16 channel IO card 25IOB16

Hi everyone, Bought a modbus16 channel IO card from ali (25IOB16)16 npn out 16 opto isolated in.without having any knowledge about how to control this card.

Now I can control all the outputs and read the status of these, but don't know if it's the right way to do it or if there are simplified alternatives. This should only be controlled from a mobile phone.

If anyone has time to take a look and give criticism/recommendations I would be grateful.

Due to how dashboards are built, it is large and verbose (lots of button nodes) so not great for iteration. I would have been tempted to use a single template to build all 16 buttons. Same for the LEDs. But thats just my take.

Also, node-red-dashboard is depreciated - if you are just starting out, I would probably recommend switching to the successor @flowfuse/node-red-dashboard before going too far down the rabbit hole.

Thanks for the info! I've now switched to @flowfuse/node-red-dashboard and started to get something that looks much better. I also found some bugs in the previous version that have been fixed.  
Having trouble getting a static size that fits my phone, but I'm sure it will work out as I get more familiar with the system.
