# Adding Health/Status Endpoint to Admin API

My team would like to extend the express API to add a very basic health endpoint and potentially a status endpoint that returns info on the status of nodes akin to the functionality of the status node.

We realize we could create something similar in the flows themselves but thought this feature might have merit built into the admin api. We wanted to check to see if you'd be open to this sort of contribution before we got going on it.
