# Allen Bradley Powerflex 525 VFD control over ethernet IP with node red

I would like to control the Allen Bradley Powerflex 525 series of drives using ethernet-ip from node-red. So essentially, remove the need for an AB PLC which is what is usually used in cases like this. I know Modbus RTU is available for these drives, but would like to use ethernet IP. Be happy to share what I've tried (which is all existing ethernet ip nodes) along with relevant AB drive and ethernet IP docs. Also happy to work with anyone on this. Appreciate any help, feedback, guidance. Thanks
