# Allow for projects to be on a flow level

Instead of Switching between projects allow the flows to connect to a project. I hope this is clear I have added an image to help explain you can see each tab has a project icon to show which project it is connected to.

thanks for the suggestion.

The fact a runtime runs a single project at any time is a fairly fundamental concept. Changing it to allow multiple projects to be running at the same time would be a major change and not one we are considering.

@knolleary - That is too bad. Since Node Red can handle multiple flows running independently I figured it could expand that in to projects where the main difference is where the flow files are located.

It doesn't really do that. The tabs in the editor are actually all a single flow.
