# Alternative to PI

Hi,

What alternative are there to a PI, to run Node-red on. Need to be the same, just about, as a Pi Zero.

I have one flow with 15 nodes handling about 10 messages per hour, so really low consumption

Possibly now partly depends on what you need to do in Node-RED. For example, the MCU version of Node-RED can run on an ESP32 and some of those seem not far off the power of a Pi Zero in terms of raw performance. Though obviously very different underlying OS's so they won't always be good at doing the same things. Better at some and worse at others.
