# Any PLC (Ethernet communication) to Raspberry PI using NODE-RED

Could you please share the step by step procedure to configure Codesys PLC (through Ethernet connection to Raspberry PI) using Node-red.

Does codesys have a built in OPCUA server? Then install node-red-contrib-iiot-opcua
Does it do modbus? The install the modbus nodes and give it a try.

Thanks for the response.
Yes codesys has OPC UA server and the same(PC) is connected to Raspberry PI through Ethernet. hence "install node-red-contrib-iiot-opcua" needs to be installed on Raspberry PI.
hope my understanding is correct.
Do you have any document which explain step by step procedure to configure codesys OPCUA using "install node-red-contrib-iiot-opcua"

Maybe MQTT is better solution?🙂 Codesys has MQTT driver.

What is "any PLC"? Omron? Siemens? AB? ETC ETC ETC ETC
Did you try OPCUA? did you try MQTT?
Have you tried anything?
