I found an issue on github pointing to the forum, but couldn't find anything about it in the search. 😅

I'm afraid not, no.
Auto-arranging of diagrams is a very hard task - a lot of programming work for relatively little reward since auto-arrangers rarely do what most people want let alone what "everyone" wants 🙂
Indeed, you will often find that diagram tools that do it often have multiple algorithms for different layout styles.
Of course, if you happen to be a guru on such algorithms, I'm sure a lot of people would welcome a submission. 😁
