It works now! After installing yarn I issued the following commands
change to node red dir:
cd .node-red
yarn add kevinGodell/node-red-contrib-mp4frag#socket_io_3x
yarn add kevinGodell/node-red-contrib-ui-mp4frag#socket_io_3x
yarn add kevinGodell/node-red-dashboard
restart node-red:
node-red-restart
