Hi, I don't know if this can help (I haven't read all the messages from the beginning but I'll do it as soon as I can). With sub-flow you can set some "environment properties" that can be changed via messages too. And these can be even used to modify some settings of the inside nodes. I used this feature once and it took a while to understand it and how it works

You can set the environment variables for the subflow and for its input/output. If I'm not wrong I remember I was able to pass them as value to the inside node
