# Button group colours stopped working?

I'm pretty sure that the custom colour option for button groups used to work, I even posted a screen capture in a [forum post](https://discourse.nodered.org/t/db2-vue-separate-component/92186/7)

But now I can't get it to work on dashboard MKII v1.16 or 1.18

These options

Can you raise an issue with small flow that demonstrates this please.

If it turns out to be a bug, I will make sure we add automated "End to End" tests to prevent further regression.

OK well after going a bit deeper into this (ie actually clicking on a button) I see that once clicked, a button in the group acquires class `v-btn--active` and the background color specified in the config.

So all buttons are white until one of them is clicked, then it, in radio button style, gets coloured.

It's clearly not a bug but a design choice.
