# Camera PTZ - Position / Preset

Hi.
I could send a command by node red in order to move my camera PTZ to another preset position, but I'd like to return the camera to the main position after some seconds.
Considering the camera can be move by other ways like its own app, HA (with no node red) etc, is there any way to get/check the present position and return it to some preset if the camera is in another position?
I couldn't find any way to get the present position by node red.

Unless you state the exact camera make and model, it's pretty difficult to guess as they all use different APIs. For example, axis cameras use http CGI scripts. Others use onvif, some use TCP commands.
