# Can’t install node-red-contrib-serial-modbus still not working?

hi all

does any one know if this issue has been resolved or a better way to do it

i am working on a project that requires modbus rtu and i need to drive the port from uart.  
Ia m running it on a pi3b+ with poe . also using the waveshare RS485 can hat for pi

can side works perfectly  
rs485 not at all

Are you getting exact same error?

Post the log showing the error.

Don't forget to wrap the log text in backticks
