# Can the Delay node rate limit, but pass first message immediately, and always pass on the latest message?

I think the best solution is definitely to add this feature to the Delay node as is being discussed in [this post.](https://discourse.nodered.org/t/possible-enhancements-to-delay-node/67511/2)
