# Can't install "npm install @ais\_automation/node-red-node-ciss"

Hey there.  
I couldn't install npm install @ais\_automation/node-red-node-ciss. Please help me in that.

Did you follow the instructions on the [node's page](https://flows.nodered.org/node/@ais_automation/node-red-node-ciss)?  
(Hint: make sure you are in the `.node-red` folder before running the npm command)

I'd like to point out that the node hasn't been updated in over 4 years. That doesn't mean it won't work, but keep it in mind.

It won't install for me either, I suspect it is not compatible with current versions of nodejs, or maybe it is pulling in out of date versions of other nodes. I suggest you submit an issue on the[node's github page](https://github.com/AISAutomation/node-red-node-ciss) and hope that the author is still maintaining it. In the issue include the version of nodejs that you are using, and post the log there too. If you install from withing node-red, when it fails to install it tells you where the log is.

Can you provide more info?

What errors do you see?  
What versions of node & node-red do you have installed?  
How is node-red installed (official script? Docker? Plug in of home assistant etc etc etc)
