# (closed - duplicate) Node-red-contrib-mysql2

i have try to use node-red-contrib-mysql2 node  
In nodered documentation it is said

mysql nodes for node-red with paramaterization.

`npm install node-red-contrib-mysql2`

This is a fork to the original `node-red-contrib-mysql`, but changed the connection from pool to single connection at a time. We can also send the server details using `msg.server`, without adding those details at node level.

Can you explain how to format msg.server ?  
i try this way but it doesn't works

var test= {Host:mariadb\_Host,Port:mariadb\_Port, Username: mariadb\_Username, Password: mariadb\_Password, Database: 'test'}  
newmsg.Server=test
