# Compare images or measure distances

Hi,
I have a IBC container in my garden to collect rain water.
There are different ways of measuring the amount of water.
My idea is the following: I have a surveillance camera pointed to the container and I was thinking if I can use it to roughly guess the water level.
Do you have an idea how I could achieve it?
My idea was to take a picture with the camera and compare it with a predefined set of pictures showing different water levels. The best match would tell me the name of the image and I would know how much water is inside.
Do you have an idea how I could implement it with NodeRed?
