# Computer and Node-RED

Hi Guys,

I'm struggling with using Node-RED. I had my friend run my simple code I followed from youtube to read to a .txt file, and it worked for him, however it just won't work for me. I've got a windows laptop, so if you guys could help me out I would really appreciate it!

Hello,

You are going to need to share a lot more information before anybody can help.

Just saying "it just won't work for me" doesn't tell us anything useful. You need to carefully explain the steps you followed and exactly how it is not working (e.g. what errors do you see).

That way we will be able to offer some suggestions.
