# Creating default config node

This is a related question to another one I had asked earlier but I believe it deserves its own topic. I am creating a custom node which has its own config node (following [https://nodered.org/docs/creating-nodes/config-nodes](https://nodered.org/docs/creating-nodes/config-nodes)). Is there a way to create a default config which will be preselected for a new node?
