# Custom config node

Hi Guys,  
i'm starting to create some custom nodes. Now i want to make a config node. I saw the example in the docs here. But do i create new Projekt like node-red-contrib-testNode-config? Or do i implements the config html/ js to the existing node? Have someone maybe an example on github?

you can create that config node in the same html/js or in a different one, as you like. No need for a new project.

Look at the mqtt core node for example, where the `mqtt-broker` is a config node
