# Custom Dash UI from template node example

Hello, I'm trying to follow a very simple tutorial on creating custom UI elements for the dash board node. I've been tried to mimic the following:

However i get the following error: Unexpected token m in JSON at position 0

I noticed that the template and UI nodes have change slightly from when the orginal post was uploaded in 2016. The template now has options for YAML, JSON and Mustache - i've tried selecting different options but the error still persists - it's probably something very simple that i'm missing?
