# Dashboard 2 Number input mode decimal point issue

Folks.

Only noticed this recently but the number input node in dashboard 2 doesn't want to stick to any significant figures. For me it will only display whole integers even though I have set the step range to 0.1. It will display correctly when changing the value up or down but when I move focus away, it reverts back to whole integers. I have just updated the dashboard to 1.24.2 this morning (double checked) but still the same issue, Thanks.

I've replied to that issue.

in the mean time you can use a template node and a `v-number-input`. See the demo I created for examples posted in that [issue comment here](https://github.com/FlowFuse/node-red-dashboard/issues/1697#issuecomment-2953862576)
