Hi all,

I want a user to log into the webpage of the nodered Dashboard.

So I followed the documentation : [Securing Node-RED : Node-RED (nodered.org)](https://nodered.org/docs/user-guide/runtime/securing-node-red#http-node-security) and used _ **httpNodeAuth** _
But I have no prompt to log in, I only get a 401 Unauthorized directly.

Did I missed something ?

Thank in advance !

I use :
20 Oct 13:44:42 - [info] Node-RED version: v3.1.0
20 Oct 13:44:42 - [info] Node.js version: v18.18.2

Did you try a search in the forum using `dashboard login`?

Yes, and from what I have understand I just need to use httpNodeAuth in my settings file. But in my case it doesn't ask for the login and just get a 401 Unauthorized.

Ok, my bad I found that I got a policy from my company on multiple browsers that block pop-up even when authorized in the settings.
