# Dashboard group node name : add variable?

**Is there a way to display a variable in the title bar of a group? Like this:**

_possible ?_  
Usefull if group is collapsed , the value is displayed 🙂

If not possible , does it will be present in a futur update of Dashboard-node ?

well the overall panel is a div with an id - so it may be possible to craft a ui\_template that watches for changes and forces an update, but I can't think of a simple way.

And no it's not on any plan (unless a Pull Request comes in)

I would be interested in this functionality too. Even if it wasn't dynamically updating but was set once at page load. Maybe from a global variable?

I found a solution:

- make a 1 line widget with the variables we want to display + add a button :

- when clic on it : goes to another Tab

- don't forget a buton to return to the "dashboard"
