# DB2 - Dashboard sidebar - keeps scrolling to top on every change

Hi

I think the issue exists for sometime but i could not see any post on this.

Whenever i edit a widget on the dashboard side bar - once the change is done - the dashboard sidebar scrolls to the top.

For one off odd issue this is ok. But even for as simple as 10 changes - the process starts becoming tedious - as after every one needs to scroll back to find the correct dashboard and do the change and then repeat the process.

Is there any workaround / solution for this ?

No. This will require work.

I feel it is somewhat related to [Dashboard page layout expands on every change · Issue #1593 · FlowFuse/node-red-dashboard · GitHub](https://github.com/FlowFuse/node-red-dashboard/issues/1593) but I thought that was resolved.

Also every ui-page in the dashboard reverts to the fully expanded view.  
Ideally each page should remember if it was expanded

or compacted

But if that's not possible, much better for the default to be the compact view.
