Hi Stephan,

Don't think this exactly what you are looking for, but perhaps this [discussion](https://discourse.nodered.org/t/node-config-screen-show-details-of-a-table-row/11958/10) might be of any help to you? I started that discussion because I needed to show details for a selected table row. So it is a whole other approach as you want (like config node button), but it works fine for me ...
