# Dynamic labels in Dashboard 2 - Status?

I can't work out from github if the work on dynamic widget properties is available to install.

[https://github.com/FlowFuse/node-red-dashboard/issues/833](https://github.com/FlowFuse/node-red-dashboard/issues/833) (?) and other links refer to passing values in msg.ui\_control, or perhaps it's msg.ui\_update.

At least in v1.14.0 and with the text input widget, msg.ui\_update.label or msg.ui\_control.label have no effect.  
(I might be doing something wrong, I only ever used `{{label}}` in dashboard v1)

Is this available yet? If so how can I install it? Is there any end user documentation?

HI

The widget `UI Text Input` has not yet been updated to use dynamic properties.

The widgets that have been updated to contain dynamic properties are indicated in the issue.

That shows our progress on this in the tasklist of the issue description.

We had a little hiccup on some architecture changes which put a pause on it, will be continuing this week, and they should be covered in the (to be released) `1.15.0`

Our [documentation](https://dashboard.flowfuse.com) also gets updated with the relevant features too, so will detail when the dynamic properties available.
