# Dynamically change configuration of SMB node

I want to dynamically change the configuration of the smb node.  
All the parameters are listed below:

How can I do this?

If the node author hasnt implement dynamic methods then you cannot.

Best you can do without raising a feature request or forking & fixing it yourself is you use [Environment Variables](https://nodered.org/docs/user-guide/environment-variables#setting-a-node-property) instead of hard coded values.

If you look at the issues on the [node's github page](https://github.com/st-one-io/node-red-contrib-smb/issues) you will see there are multiple unnadressed issues. It appears the node is no longer supported so I think you need to find an alternative solution.
