# Editable List: How to limit editable list widget

Hi all, is there any way to limit the amount of items users can create in the list? I'm currently creating a nodes with editable list and I want to limit the items in the list to only 3.  
I have checked the document: [Editable list](https://nodered.org/docs/api/ui/editableList/#methods-length) but can't find the limit method.  
I'm currently using node-red 3.0.1.

Hi @namph-sgn - no, there is not built-in way to limit the number of items - not a feature we've had a need for.

You could probably achieve it by enabling/disabling the add button yourself.. depends how you are using the list.
