# Error with neopixels

Setup a new pi - installed Node-RED from script - added Blocky and Neopixel nodes using palette

I'm getting this showing up in editor

Tried un-installing/rebooting/re-installing and made no diff - I have installed Pimoroni unicornhat lib via their script and I can get Neopixels to shine using their example scripts

When yousetup the Pi, did you run the bash script at: [https://nodered.org/docs/hardware/raspberrypi](https://nodered.org/docs/hardware/raspberrypi) ?

did you install the python driver that the prerequisite tells you to?

## Pre-requisites

The Neopixel python driver need to be pre-installed... The easiest way to get the driver installed is to use the Unicorn HAT drivers install script... see the [Pimoroni Getting Started with Unicorn HAT](http://learn.pimoroni.com/tutorial/unicorn-hat/getting-started-with-unicorn-hat)page.

Yes. JFI I've use node this on several Pi and have contributed to the code on Github but never had an error like this

Its a pi so they have always come with both. Like I said, running the example python scripts work fine

I've made a start but wasn't 100% sure which values apply to the upper LED indices. Oh well, I'll just have to suck it and see.
