# Feature Request: Time picker (ui\_text\_input) with step option

I found [this old post](https://discourse.nodered.org/t/dashboard-time-format/23578) (which seems outdated) and [this workaround](https://discourse.nodered.org/t/format-dashboard-text-input-time-seconds/37664) which is nice but is it really necessary?

I wonder if a `step` option could be added to the `ui_text_input` when time picker mode is selected. Or am I mssing something to get seconds working?
