# Flow with 10 MQTT "IN Node".. is better use just one "IN node" and split via "function node"?

ok, I read the old post again:  
[MQTT node disconnecting - #9 by TotallyInformation](https://discourse.nodered.org/t/mqtt-node-disconnecting/94450/9)  
it's a bit more complicated: only if there are multiple config nodes THEN each must have a different client ID.  
This no longer has anything to do with this original post - just a note 😉
