# FlowFuse dropped the FREE plan!

Hi @grawsom
You are right that we have since withdrawn the free plan.
The plan allowed you to remotely manage your Node-RED from the FlowFuse platform.
It attracted a lot of people signing up, but very few people actually used it. Our user research showed that people were looking for _hosted_ Node-RED, rather than remotely managing Node-RED they already had. So they would sign up and not get what there were looking for and abandon it soon after.
It also then meant those users were skipping the trial of our paid plan, so they wouldn’t get a chance to see the value FlowFuse brings to the full Node-RED experience.
Ultimately, it wasn’t the right shape of plan to be properly useful to users and we decided to withdraw it.
