# Fritz!DECT 400 - FritzBox polling

Hi there,

I've created a simple "program" to read the AVM Fritz!DECT 400 button. It works quite good but I have to poll my Fritz!Box every second to get the button information and react.

Do you think this will harm the FritzBox?

I don't think, it will harm the Fritzbox.  
I have the same problem to read the state of the the switch of a AVM DECT 200 plug, so I can recognize a manual key press on the device. I read the state every 3 seconds for 5-6 months now.
