# Gauge questions

Hey all,

Just learning here, have decent dashboard going and mainly working within the dashboard playing around with all the nodes and what they can do.

When it comes to the gauges, I have a question. Can I have a slider AND a numeric text entry together?

I would like to have the slider do the large adjustments and use the numeric entry to add or subtract from there.

For example, use the slider to set the gauge at 300,  
Then,

Let's say they want to add 5 or maybe use a -5 to subtract.

I tried to loop them but realized rather quickly that was a messy solution.

You should be able to loop them together without issues, make sure that you clear `If message arrives at input then pass through to output` in both of them to prevent continuous looping.
