# Google Home - Nora

How do you connect a new node/device in Node-Red (NORA) to an existing Google Home device? When I add a new device (for example a socket in the living room) to my flow in node-red, even if I name it exactly the same as in the Google Home App, it appears as a new device in the App.

Have you searched this forum? - there are [32 topics](https://discourse.nodered.org/search?q=NORA) containing NORA - perhaps one of those had a similar issue?

Have you read through the open and closed [issues](https://github.com/andrei-tatar/node-red-contrib-nora/issues?q=) on the repository?

If all else fails, raise an issue on the repository.
