# Group Merge makes group loosing it's properties

Hi Folks !

I love the new grouping feature in node-red (v1.1.3), but besides the "freeze" problem with cut&paste (as already addressed in [another](https://discourse.nodered.org/t/groups-of-nodes-freeze/32482) topic) I found another issue with groups.

When using groups-\>'Merge selection' to merge an existing group with some other (not grouped) nodes the existing group looses all it's properties like name and color.

When **dragging** the (not grouped) nodes into the group this does not happen, but in this case the editor sometimes freezes too.

Hi @pgScorpio - this has already been fixed and will be in the next release.

The code will keep the style of the _first_ group selected - so if you are merging two groups, the order you select them will be important.
