# Homeassistent and Shelly plus2PM

In cover mode, the Shelly Plus 2PM returns an "opening" status message when opening and a "closing" message when closing. Where can I find these messages in Node-red?

Hi and welcome to the forum.
I believe the lack of responses are because this is a HA question, not many HA users here. You may get better responses for HA on their forum.
Saying that you can skip using HA to get the status into Node-red.
You can turn on the [mqtt](https://cookbook.nodered.org/#mqtt) status reports in the shelly device (`http:///#/settings/mqtt`) , you will need to use a mqtt broker. Mosquitto is easy to use and quick to set up. many post about that on the forum.
Or you can create a http endpoint (see [cookbook](https://cookbook.nodered.org/#http-endpoints)) then in the actions of the shelly device you can add url/s to the endpoint/s
