# How do I get two different numbers into a function node?

please see the response from @ukmoose in your earlier thread: [If Function ((with two Inputs))?](https://discourse.nodered.org/t/if-function-with-two-inputs/13305) because it covers a lot of the same topic here.

Messages arrive in the Function node. The Function can use properties of that message or values that have already been stored in context.

To answer your question, can you provide some more information about what you are trying to do?
