# How do we dynamically send a message to Dashboard2.0 UI

**We have a requirement to send session timeout events back to Dashboard 2.0 to notify the user that his/her session has a timeout. Please refer to the below diagram and point me if we have any reference code snippets available in the node red.**

Does the ui-notification node do what you want?

If you need something more sophisticated then perhaps the [dialog group feature](https://github.com/FlowFuse/node-red-dashboard/issues/1106) (coming any day now I think) might do it.
