So I want to do machine monitoring via node red.

The link below shows a waveshare unit that takes on/off switches and also able to do Modbus, but it doesn't have a setup to hook analog sensors to the unit.

^^ I am looking for a similar setup but with something that can use analog signals, process them via MQTT and send the status of the components to NodeRed for monitoring.

Would anybody have any recommendation of common hardware to use for this type of application?

The item in question is this one here... I just would like something similar but able to work with analog sensors:

Adam has a lot of options.

You have cross posted and already have assistance from @TotallyInformation . Please keep to the one Topic, it save any confusion.

You can also measure VCC voltage directly by setting pin: VCC , useful for low-voltage detection in battery-powered setups. ESP32 : Multiple pins support ADC (e.g., GPIO32–GPIO39 for ADC1, GPIO0, GPIO2, GPIO4, etc. for ADC2). Use attenuation to measure voltages above 1.1V (e.g., 12dB for up to ~3.9V). RP2040 (Raspberry Pi Pico) : GPIO26–GPIO29 are availab…

Would recommend click plus, since you posted this in the industrial section.

Cheap and can talk to whatever all kinds of ways.
