If you take a look at this example, for loading icons into node-RED, it may give you a template to follow.
We don't use that method now for the weather-icons because they are already integrated into the dashboard core.

(almost) no need.... I have added the ligature support to master so the <i class="material-icons"... style should work... but is only in the master branch at present - not yet on npm...
You can install by using manual npm i node-red/node-red-dashboard but is still beta at the moment.

Already can in switches and the tab menus etc
see info panels on right of workspace.

just to be clear:
if i install the latest master (npm i node-red/node-red-dashboard) i can user for example floor-lamp as icon in switches ?

Switches already use the Angular-material-icons package so existing version will work with whatever is in there

all the ones from here - https://klarsys.github.io/angular-material-icons/ - are built in so you don't have to be online... not all systems are connected to the internet.

The certificate on the website you linked to expired 683 days ago.
Even if you linked to it, most modern browsers would stop you accessing the content anyhow.

So ok we can try and make this easier in a future version. But it would only work if you always have access to the internet as we aren’t going to preload 60MB of font.
