# How to add two function blocks?

Good morning everyone, I have to add two function blocks, can anyone help me?

Here's a print of my problem.

See [this article in the cookbook](https://cookbook.nodered.org/basic/join-streams) for an example of how to join messages into one object.

Once the values are joined in one message, you can access both properties at the same time (in a function or change node etc)

you were not clear but i understood.

Yes. If they are in the same msg (in the same payload)

That's why I pointed you to the JOIN node and said ...

... meaning you will be able to ADD them together (for example) in a function node
