# How to Change Color of Node Lable?

Is there a way to change the color of the node label? For a custom node I'm making, I'm planning to give it a dark background color, so I would like the label to be white to contrast with the dark background. I'm thinking it has something to do with the styling in the node's HTML file, but that's just a hunch I have.

As [per documentation](https://nodered.org/docs/creating-nodes/appearance), you can only set the background color.
