# How to connect FT4222

Dear Developers,

I am compltely new to node-red and want to read data from FT222H (USB2.0 to Quad-SPI device controller) using node-red.

Can you please suggest me what is right way to do it.

I think if you would provide some links to the:

- product page
- pdf  
... etc

that would help others to know more about this specific device.

Also it depends on:

- what kind of driver you are installing for this device
- what OS you are running this at ? Rpi / Win / ... ?
- **how many** sub-devices of what will you run with it pro channel / what speed, etc.
- what do you expect as outcome of this?

We can help more, if we know more about the problem itself.

Following are the answers to your questions

1. **Description of device you will get in following link**

1. **what OS you are running this at ?**  
I would be using it on windows 10 OS

2. **what kind of driver you are installing for this device ?**

I have not installed any driver myself for this device and i think windows has installed "FTDI Chip’s royalty-free Direct (D2XX) drivers" automatically once I plugged it into my PC.

1. **how many sub-devices of what will you run with it pro channel / what speed, etc.**

Number of subdevices can be 4 and speed can be upto 20 KHz.

1. **what do you expect as outcome of this?**

From this device I will receive data from sensors connected to its SPI port and I want to save this data in file/database.

Sorry I could not upload datasheet of this device as i do not have right to do so.

Please inform me if you need any other information from me.
