# How to create custom ui node for getting user input

Hi,

I want to create a custom UI node so that my client drags and drops the node in his flows.

The node will contain a small part of this simulation.

I know it's possible with the dashboard's template node but I want to create a custom node for it.

If you look at the [GitHub - node-red/node-red-ui-nodes: Additional nodes for Node-RED Dashboard](https://github.com/node-red/node-red-ui-nodes) project on GitHub there should be some examples of varying complexity that should help get you started.
