# How to extract array value from msg.payload - Bacnet Read Value

Newbie alert!

There must be a better way to extract the value of a BACnet Dig. Out read message ...

I've tried various function nodes combos .. but no joy. ☹

Here is a copy of the path ..

payload.values[0].values[0].value[0].value

and debug message ..
