# How to stop a flow tab from running

Hi,  
May have been addressed before and may be a silly question, but how do you stop a flow tab? I notice that you can disable a flow tab but the flow still runs, just cannot edit the flow. so:

1. Can we stop and start individual flow tabs
2. What is the purpose of disable/enable flow tab.

Once disabled you have to deploy the flow.. At that point that tab will no longer run..

Thanks for that, I did not know that you have to deploy.
