# I need help with a node-red-contrib-tplink-tapo-connect-api

Hi everyone, I downloaded this node: "_node-red-contrib-tplink-tapo-connect-api_" I can, through msg.payload = 1 ", turn on or off the light bulbs I have in the house

**PROBLEM** : **I can't change the color** or brightness of the light bulb, **through msg.payload = 255** you can **see the properties** of the light bulb but I can't change them. Please help me.

If you add a debug to the output of the node(set to complete msg object) what do you see in debug pane? when you send msg.payload = 1
