# I want to connect my nodered to samsung smart thing and use ubuntu as well in it? Please help

I have a instance of node-red running in the cloud with digital ocean. I am trying to get SmartThings to work with node-red, but cannot get it working. I have done it previously (couple of years ago). I cannot get it to work this time. Smartthings doesnt confirm URL. It might be a certificate issue. please help !!!

I'm just reading that Samsung have closed down all the Groovy apps and capabilities in the SmartThings environment. I'm not getting any data from SmartThnings anymore. I'm going to have to revisit the API.

This may well be why you are having issues.
