In your other thread, I suggested you use buffer-parser - it takes care of all this kind of thing. to clean up the sn you need to do soething like... let arr = msg.payload.data; arr.pop(); let sn = String.fromCharCode(...arr) sn = sn.replace(/\0.*$/g,''); return {sn:sn}
